Oilmen Seeking Revenge Against Bobcats Wednesday

WHITING, Ind. -- The Northwest Indiana Oilmen will look to avenge a loss against Bloomington last week as NWI takes on the Bobcats Wednesday.

The Bobcats (9-6) will take on the Oilmen (11-9) at Oil City Stadium starting at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday

LAST TIME OUT
The Northwest Indiana Oilmen are coming off doubleheader split against the
Crestwood Panthers on June 18 at Standard Bank Stadium. The Panthers won the first game 6-0, while the Oilmen won the second game 6-0. Matt Garbacz (Villa Park, Ill./Roosevelt) dominated on the mound in the second game of the twinbill. Garbacz threw a complete game shutout, throwing seven innings, scattering four hits, walking none and striking out four. Blake Cleveland
(Nappanee, Ind./Central Michigan) Chris Baker (South Holland, Ill./South Suburban), Tyler Sroczynski (Dyer, Ind./Trinity Christian) all went 2-4 for the Oilmen in Game 2.

The Bloomington Bobcats are coming off a 15-12 victory against the DuPage County Hounds on June 18. The Bobcats are led by Jack Butler, who is hitting .481, 26 hits, 2 doubles, one home run, 11 RBI and 14 runs scored. On the mound, the Bobcats are led by Nick Brune, who is 2-0, 17.0 IP, with a 0.53 ERA and striking out 11.

OILMEN LEADERS
The Oilmen are led by Amir Wright (Griffith, Ind./Kentucky Wesleyan), who is hitting .406, 26 hits, four doubles, two triples, 14 runs scored and 13 RBI. On the mound, NWI is led by Blake Marks (Gardner, Ill./Lewis), who owns a 1.06 ERA in 17 innings pitched, a 1-0 record with one save and has 22 strikeouts.

The Bobcats lead the all-time series between the two clubs, 6-4, including
Bloomington winning the most recent meeting 19-1 at Oil City Stadium on June 15.
