Whiting, Ind. – June 30, 2014 – Monday’s rescheduled game between the Northwest Indiana Oilmen and Southland Vikings has been postponed yet again due to unsafe field conditions and an unfavorable weather forecast.

The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 18, but heavy storms hit immediately before game time, causing the contest to be washed out.

The game between the Oilmen and Vikings has been rescheduled for Monday, July 14 as part of a doubleheader. The Oilmen and Vikings will participate in two seven-inning games with the first game beginning at 5:10 p.m. at Homewood-Flossmoor High School. This is the eighth time an Oilmen game has been postponed or cancelled this season.

Northwest Indiana and Southland will also meet three times this week with games slated to take place on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday at Oil City Stadium. Tuesday will be the annual Veterans Benefit Game with 60 percent of all ticket revenue benefiting the Veterans Build Project. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit NWIOilmen.com.
