WHITING, Ind. -- The Northwest Indiana Oilmen will look to continue their winning ways as NWI travels to Joliet Junior College to take on the Joliet Admirals for a makeup game Monday.

The Oilmen (1-1) will take on the Admirals (0-1) at Wayne L. King Field at Joliet Junior College starting at noon Monday.

LAST TIME OUT
The Northwest Indiana Oilmen used a big seventh inning with some key hits to come back from behind to defeat the DuPage County Hounds, 6-4, Sunday.

Going to the seventh inning, the Oilmen were down 4-3 but NWI would rally to take the lead. After
back-to-back walks by Tyler Scroczynski (Dyer, Ind./Trinity Christian) and Chase Dawson
(Chesterton, Ind./Valparaiso), Alec Olund (Crown Point, Ind./Purdue) zipped a triple to right, scoring Scroczynski and Dawson, but the Oilmen were not done as Donivan Williams (Oak Lawn, Ill./Illinois State) had a go-ahead triple for NWI, when he roped a RBI triple to left to give the Oilmen a 5-4 lead in the seventh.

Oilmen starter Brian Jestice (Hoffman Estates, Ill./Evansville) only allowed two earned runs, scattering three hits, five strikeouts in four innings of work. Rory Gard
(Schererville, Ind./Saint Joseph’s College) came on to pitch in the ninth inning and was able to pick up his first save of the season.

SCOUTING THE ADMIRALS
The Joliet Admirals are coming off a 8-7 setback to the DuPage County Hounds on May 27. The Admirals late rally came up short. Admirals starter Josh Rahn suffered the loss, after going 4.2 innings, allowing only one earned run and striking out two. Jake Drada lead the way for Joliet, going 1-4 with four RBI.

SERIES HISTORY
The Oilmen lead the all-time series between the two clubs, 20-9, with NWI winning the most recent meeting in Game 2 of the Midwest Collegiate League Semifinals on August 3, 14-6.
